Plant A Tree Today Foundation, known as PATT cooperated with FedEx to celebrate on their 40th anniversary of operations by helping them plant 500 trees at Sub Tai sub-district, Khao Yai, NaKhon Ratchasima Province on 27th April 2013. This is the second year PATT and FedEx has created partnerships in reforestation and this year Dr. Andrew Steel, founder of PATT and Mr. David Carden, Managing Director of FedEx has been in the site together with FedEx employees in order to achieve the goal of planting 400 trees together to raise awareness on the global issue and save the planet.

Project Overview

Raimon Land Plc Thailand, through its 2007 sponsorship agreement with PATT Foundation, expressed the desire to fund a long-term PATT initiative in the Khao Yai area of central Thailand. PATT‘s vision was to establish a nursery to provide the foundations for ongoing sustainable reforestation and community development projects in and around Khao Yai National Park. The nursery centre would also act as a training centre for local people and an environmental education facility.

A few years on, the nursery has now been built, staffed and opened, however there are ongoing maintenance costs associated with the nursery and we are urgently looking for funding towards this aspect so that the valuable work in Khao Yai can continue.

Please contact us if you are interested in supporting this nursery!

Project Details

The PATT nursery is used for producing native tree seedlings to restore degraded areas of Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The establishment of the nursery was made possible by funding from Raimon Land PLC, a Thailand property development company with a history of support for PATT Foundatio.
