Mangrove Planting at Bang Pu with TCIS students

On the 27th of February, 2015, twenty five students from Thai Chinese International School helped PATT plant mangrove trees in Bang Pu, Samut Prakarn. We went through a nature trail to study why we need to plant mangrove forest. We could see that it is a habitat for various types of animals, source of oxygen for us to breathe, a buffer zone of natural disaster, a filtration of garbage, and a place for carbon sink.

Even though the water was so high in the morning because we arrived too early, we couldn’t find any difficulty getting into the water. Seventy-five mangroves were planted by TCIS Earth Heroes. We could see happy smiles from everyone’s faces after helping the planet by planting mangrove trees.
