"Happy February with full of love and to celebrate Chinese New Year!! "

PATT and Bangkok Patana School in Khao Yai vol. 3

On Wednesday 26th January PATT was joined by 3rd group of year 5 students from Bangkok Patana School (BPS) in our Khao Yai nursery. Students from BPS learn about seedlings, how to look for them in the forest, how to sow them, prick out the saplings and how to make sure they grow into healthy trees. The seedlings will remain in our nursery for another 6-8 months before being planted into the forest as part of our reforestation efforts. They are divided into 2 groups when the 2nd group goes for a hike on the natural trail which shows the different types of species of tree’s and the different environments they grow in as well how not to plant trees.

After a tasty lunch and well earned rest, the students joined the PATT staff to plant actual trees in a deforested area of Khao Yai National Park.
