Selective Asia ongoing relationship with the PATT Foundation began in 2011 with the sponsorship of a large tree planting plot in Sub Tai, Khao Yai National Park. Ever conscientious when it comes to protecting the environment and providing a better future for generations, Selective Asia devoted their effort with passion to plant trees with PATT to protect the environment and legacy of Asia as it’s their destination of real experience in travelling.

In 2014, Selective Asia donated to plant 2,500 trees from different 22 native species on the steep mountain with high value to restore forest and bring back biodiversity as here is the home of wildlife such as elephants, gaurs, bantengs, bears, and monkeys.

Project Overview

PATT‘s vision was to establish a nursery to provide the foundations for ongoing sustainable reforestation and community development projects in and around Khao Yai National Park. The nursery centre would also act as a training centre for local people and an environmental education facility. Now, the nursery has been built, staffed and re-opened, however there are ongoing maintenance costs associated with the nursery and we are urgently looking for funding towards this aspect so that the valuable work in Khao Yai can continue.

Project Details

The PATT nursery is used for producing native tree seedlings to restore degraded areas of Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The establishment of the nursery was made possible by funding from Selective Asia, a Tourism Agency with a history of support for PATT Foundation.
