Latest Post from the Project Manager: Plant A Tree Today Foundation, known as PATT together with Sleeve It (UK) planted 350 trees at Khao Yai in 2014. This is the first year that PATT and Sleeve It has created partnerships in reforestation together to offset Carbon Emissions and raise awareness on the global issue and save the planet.

Project Overview

Plant A Tree Today Foundation (PATT) established a native plant nursery which provides the foundation for ongoing sustainable forest restoration and community development projects in and around Khao Yai National Park since August 2008.

PATT aims to restore the forest and biological diversity of that area. This not only assists with conservation efforts in the region but also globally the reforestation will help to combat climate change and reduce the impact of climate change.

PATT‘s vision was to establish a nursery to provide the foundations for ongoing sustainable reforestation and community development projects in and around Khao Yai National Park. The nursery centre would also act as a training centre for local people and an environmental education facility.

Project Details

The PATT nursery is used for producing native tree seedlings to restore degraded areas of Khao Yai National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The establishment of the nursery was made possible by funding from Selective Asia, a Tourism Agency, and Raimon Land PLC, a Thailand property development company with a history of support for PATT Foundation.
