Small but brave to save the world with St. Stephen’s IS in Khao Yai!

Location: Khao Yai, Thailand
Date: 11th June 2015
No. of trees planted: 65 Trees

On a nice weather morning at PATT Nursery, the 45 small Earth saints from Grade 4th of St. Stephen’s IS who are willing to help us to save the world just arrived. They seemed to be very enthusiastic and be happy with smiley faces. The first thing to learn was who PATT Foundation is and why we here. The answer that made all of us smile was PATT staff are “Farmers”! Yes, we are! But our farmland is the forest and we plant trees not just of for ourselves but for everyone in the world to get benefit from.

For the action time, first we all had to pot the seedlings of the local Bastard Poon (Sterculia pexa). Each one potted 2 or 3 little trees and dedicated it to our beautiful country “Thailand” and their love ones

After snack break, planting trees took place on a bit steep terrain, but this was manageable for the kids. Their lovely teachers also brought the big banner for photo time which was so sweet to PATT staff that we had great time together and having the good memorial photo!
