Standard Chartered Bank Reforest the World with PATT

Standard Chartered Bank hosted the forest restoration project, a CSR initiative to plant 5,000 trees with PATT Foundation.

The volunteer employees joined to plant many different native tree species. The aims of this project are to reforest unproductive land, increase awareness, help protect our environment and fight against global warming by planting trees.

The planting site is in Phra Pradaeng, Samut Prakan which is often referred to as the “lungs” of Bangkok due to its wide expanse of greenery. The site is managed by Thailand’s Royal Forestry Department (RFD) and the Phra Pradaeng communities which have joined with PATT on numerous tree planting efforts in the past. The RFD, communities and PATT will ensure the protection and management of the area for years to come.
