Amazon Rain Forest

Is a forest made out of moist broad leaved trees that covers most of Amazon Basin in South America. It covers 5,5 million square kilometers which makes it the biggest rain forest in the world. Amazon represents over 50% of the world´s rain forests. The forest belongs to 9 nations: Brazil, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Guyana, Suriname and French Guiana. Wet tropical forests are the most species-rich forests thus making amazon the most biodiversity rich forest in the world. Reflecting environmental conditions as well as past human influence, the Amazon is made up of different ecosystems and vegetation types including rain forests, seasonal forests, deciduous forests, flooded forests and savannas.
